oooold release... movie wasn't as good as i expected, but some nice and definately trippy visual effects...and the cinematography was beautiful... as for the release...its ok i guess. i think its down to the original source material being less than great... little grainy at times, sometimes a bit 'messy' during the dark sequences, but watchable... i dunno if its against the rules to talk about other releases, but if u get the chance, id go with the tlf release (i had both, compared them, and decided to stick with tlf...), because i think it looks a little nicer, and the resolution is higher.

and finally, ive noticed that promise only released subs for all the english speaking parts...everything spoken in french or in indian, is either left in french or left out completely... however, someone has made a custom sub for tlf, which shows the french and indian dialogue for only those bits and not everything spoken in english... i haven't seen the same thing made for the promise release...

so in summary, odd film, very stylish, ok release, watchable, but id suggest you get the tlf release, if you can.
