Question problems burning cue files

I've tried burning images of svcd's on to a cd using both nero and alcohol 120%. The cd burns successfully but when i put them in my dvd player it says no disc inserted, but if i convert the files using vcdgear and create an svcd using nero the disc plays fine. i was just wondering if there is anything that i'm doing wrong? or if there is any way of creatin svcd's without converting the image to mpegs first? thanks 4 any help.

Try using DVD Decrypter in ISO write mode.

Great free program that will handle all your VCD/SVCD/DVD burning needs as well as being a great ripper.

i usuallly burn my flicks from bin/cue using alcohol 120. so what version of the app u have, also what type of burner, and what type of dvdplayer u have, and also what speed u burning that image at.

my burner is 52x burner and if i burn the images at that speed they fucked up bad, so u might want to try a lower speed. also try better media if your using cheap cd's, also try removing and reinstalling alcohol 120%

Can you confirm that you are actually burning the image and not just burning the *.bin and *.cue to the disc.

It's an easy mistake to make if you don't know, if you are already I apologise as I don't want to appear pedantic!

In Nero you need to goto File (or Recorder if using v6.??) or Burn Image, then load the .cue file and hit write.

Hope this helps

I guess i'll just piggyback on this thread since its related to my problem..

When i try to burn using the VideoCD option in Nero, im presented with about 5 or 6 different folders. CD-R's are only 700mb, while each bin/cue file is 800mb.

How do i burn this to be able to play on a DVD player? if thats not even possible.. how do i get this to play on a computer, i guess?

When i try to use the Burn Image function in Nero, it worked, and played on my DVD player.. however, it had a big green bar across the top, and played so choppily it was almost like it was in slow motion. Is this my DVD player, or did i burn it wrong?

id say its due to it being burned to fast, try lowering the speed if not it could be the media or the dvd burner, try not to use doller store media and make sure your dvd burner is complient with svcd/vcd

I tried using CDRwin, the trial version, which says it is in 1x speed.. and still the big green bar across the top.

I try putting the cd i just burned into my computer, and i see i've got some AVSEQ01.mpg file. I try to play that in Winamp, and winamp freezes.

What am i doing wrong?

It's love baby!

Try Fireburner, version 2.17. Works about 95% on all my cue/bins, and plays in my dvd player.

SVCDs are burnt in mode 2, which means that you can fit just over 800MB onto a 700MB CD-R.

Sounds more like your DVD player is not compatible.

Yes, it will do that if you don't have an MPEG-2 decoder installed. Try PowerDVD, Media Player Classic or VLC Media Player.

I'm having the same problem...

I just got the Team America - Centropy release.

I extracted the .RAR files and I burned the .cue/.bin image on a CD-R with Alcohol 120%.

The CD won't play in my DVD player.

I mounted the image using Daemon Tools and I still can't play the damn thing.

I already have PowerDVD and it doesn't want to play this particular movie.

WMP freezes everytime.

Here's what's on the CD :

VideoCTP (G

Folders :

EXT - File : SCANDATA.DAT
MPEG2 - Files : AVSEQ01.MPEG, AVSEQ02.MPEG
SVCD - Files : SEARCH.DAT, ENTRIES.SVD, INFO.SVD, TRACKS.SVD

Thanks for your help !
