It opens them up as video_ts and audio_ts. It's annoying to have to keep opening the vob files over and over again and not being able to turn off the subtitles. It used to extract the whole thing as a .img but it doesn't anymore, does anyone know how to fix this?

It will only extract the files as an .img if they were packed as an .img

WinDVD has a function that allows you to play a dvd from a folder...'right click : source: play from folder'

or

You can use IMGTool Classic to turn your dvd structure folders into an .img file
