PAL!!! I don't know how they fucked this up....but it is Region 1 with PAL picture? I know because it doesn't play in my Pioneer DVD-606D which doesn't do PAL ... shows the black and white rolling pic (indicating PAL picture)..... and my Samsung which does do PAL, says there is something wrong with it..... probably that fact that it is Region 1 encoded with a PAL picture (not compliant) ;(

Only the cheap-ass Apex will play it, but that doesn't help me ;(


Why can't they do their shit RIGHT like all the other release groups? damn!!! Waste of a DVD-R disc ;(

ok, got lucky, they didn't fuck up We Were Soldiers, probably only because DrS's version was already NTSC - thank gawd!!!

SVENNE, next time you do a PAL DVD-R, convert the friggin video to NTSC!!! (like every other rls group, geeze)

the release works fine for me no problem @all

and everyone knows the better pic quality is the pal version not ntsc
Simple init either buy a multi region dvd player or hook the pc up to the tv
Just cause its not working for you it dosent mean its a crap release
So dont bash svenne as they a quality group

If you think you can do better go ahead and i'll watch it get nuked x3 as a dupe

For anyone else the quality of this film is good i have seen it


Dvd r disks are cheap as hell now about £1 each or $1 each so either BUY the bloody retail dvd film or get a real dvd machine
my sony dvp315 plays it fine as well but i bought that when they 1st came out pre chipped exc..

Ok for 1 my old sony cost £500 uk pounds when they first came out pre chipped macro off so how the feck is it cheap fool????

And to be honest your info on £1 princo disks is a load of bollox try using verbs or generation 3 dvd r disks which burn at 2x and ever hear of buying bulk dvd 's on the net or dont you get that kind of pocket money?>??????????

Ok 1st for region free exc.
you buy your top of the range dvd player and send it off (like i did)
to make it region free
As far as im aware i havent had a problem watching american (region 1) dvds or my own region 2
As for technics being shit exc.. 1st off im not rich and i happen to have kids so there goes my batchlor pad and in the uk we pay a bit more than you wouid for most electrical stuff
I couid buy say a camcorder for a few hundred dollars in the us and over here the price wouid be about £150 -£250 MORE price diffrence and i did have it in my mind that the us wouid be a better place to get dvd players region free ,because this country is hard enough

My point to this thread was it works ok here yet you bash svenne who i think are (european) hense pal and pal being a better quality of picture

And most tv and videos here can play NTSC/pal playback no problem even if it is a shit sony widescreen
