.bin/cue help now please!

told you i knew nothing as i search on here seems that this is a common thing.
I have a .bin file and a .cue file for a film i downloaded.

Used nero (not sure what version, it has smartstart on it) and went to burn image. It would only let me burn one or the other. Do i need to burn both files on the same disc?
i tried just doing the .cue file but it was just full of files that wouldn't play on anything. Is there some beginners guide around to all this?

Admin?

the .bin is the cd image the .cue is the info the burning software requires to burn the image correctly so you should have a bin/cue pair for each cd.

Also, use BurnAtOnce (it's free) for burning images - that way you just double-click the .cue and you're ready to burn

Using NERO.... Click "Recorder", then "Burn Image". The image files list will show (*.nrg, *.iso, *.cue). You select the .CUE file, then burn the CD. That is it. Make sure the .BIN and .CUE are in the same folder. PowerDVD or WinDVD should be able to play the CD (VCD or SVCD).

How

If all that Nero will pick up is the .cue file then how can i burn the .bin file too. Does the .cue and the .bin file both have to be burn onto the disc?????

The .cue and .bin come as a pair, if you burn the .cue file as a disk image then your burning software will know that the actual data is contained in the .bin (the .cue file is basically just config information for your burning software - open it in Notepad and have a look!).

So, if you drag/drop the bin/cue file onto a cd you won't get fuck all - the files that are on the CD are "inside" the bin file, which is why it must be burnt as an "image"

... or you could just use BurnAtOnce and never worry about this crap ever again

Hey cockfart, why not read a thread before you post in it? For the hard-of-understanding, I'll repeat what I've already said: The .cue REFERENCES the .bin file, open the .cue in some image burning software (Burn Image in Nero, but I prefer BurnAtOnce) then burn it. Don't drag drop the files and don't fuck about with the .bin.

Several years ago when there wasn't the plethora of burning software out there and there wasn't sites like this to help people out, I managed to work this shit out for myself... Fuckin' kids these days
