converting to dvd - Disc error

Hi,

ive been converting films divx/xvid to using WinAvi video em using neroconverter, and then been burning it to dvd using nero express 6 with an external dvd writer.

however the finished product doesnt work in about 50% of dvd players . For example one film i burnt, gave disco error on 2 stand alone dvd players, worked fine on my laptop, worked on my friends using media plyer didnt work using windvd. this is reapeated again working on certain laptops players, using certain programs.

what am i doing wrong? is it windavi convertor or is it nero!

please help and would appreciate any help if someone could explain what im doing wrong otherwise suggest a better way of covnerting to dvd and then urning.

thanks a lot.

ali

None

Put a shite menu on it.....this will usually trick your player into reading the content.

Use Ulead or Tmpgenc Dvd author to make one.

i'm getting tired of you.

Chiming in with your menu idea, but reccomending DVDLab for authoring it.

You could also try better media?
Also bear in mind that not all standalones support dvd-r/dvd+r
