quote: A telesync is the same spec as a CAM
Actually the definition on this site is a bit off. A Telesync requires an outragouesly expensive specialized camera that can match recording framerates to the films framerates (~24FPS), hence the Sync. By syncing the frames it reduces flicker, blur, color bleeding, and twatfactor (you need an empty theater to properly setup the cam, which also lends to no funny angles). In the end it produces a much better image quality than a straight CAM recording(~30fps).
That is how the dope theater pirates did it back in the day (80s & early 90s). Arrrrr me cully, there be booty upon them empty seated shores.
Nowadays with computers, Hi-8/Svhs/digital cams, better encoding/filtering techniques, a cam can pretty much mimic a TS but in reality they are no where close, a true TS, when done correctly, is much better visually than a straight CAM.
Vid: 8 (little better than the last try)
Aud: 7 (direct or not a bit hollow)
Mov: 9 (Gotta give it props for the ending alone)
Peas out.
