Converting with DivX Converter

Hey guys, ive looked among alot of sites and searched forums for my problem but im having no luck.

I'm trying to convert a wmv file to a .avi using DivX Converter but it gets to the end and says error MPEG1 Audio Codec missing.

Does anyone know where i can get the codec ? I was told it comes with windows but it dosnt seem as it has. I'm using Windows XP SP2

Thanks in advance.

run you wmv through Gspot ( http://www.divx-digest.com/software/gspot.html )
Then look at your audio codec, copy the name of the codec in google and search for it...
Install the codec and try again...
Use virtual dub to convert to divx/xvid, it's much faster and better quality. Just open your .wmv in "virtual dub mod" (
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/...ve.zip?download ) and then select a video codec (in the video tab) and an audio codec (in the audio tab).
Then File/Save as
Then it will reencode the whole thing to your selected codec

God Warrior.

ok, stfu. First of all, you cant run wmv in gspot. Second, you cant run wmv in virtualdub either. Reply once you know what you are talking about.
