i have loads of .avi films on computer but it takes ages to convert then burn just to make 1 copy of the film.(i sometimes make a copy o 2 for my mates, so this will take ages!)

what i want to do is convert them to bin/cue so that all i have to do is use nero or alcohol 120% and its done in mins instead of hours. the problem is i have tryed so many times to do this and just dont get anywhere.

example: i downloaded robots yesterday which had the following files: robots.bin robots.cue and tus(msinfo doc)

when i try to make bin/cue files from (say) robots.avi i get the bin/cue files and thats it.

when i burn these it says no play on dvd player.

what the fu*k am i doing wrong??????????????????

i need an idiots guide to doing this i think

btw: bin/cue is not a video format.
saying "avi to bin/cue" is like saying "pdf to iso". Should be "avi to mpeg2/svcd".

well it's prolly bad i know this but

you got a tus/hockney release which is a KVCD made from the original (s)vcd/avi.

god damn i wish i didnt know this
but yah kvcd is not (s)vcd so its not compatible in all players.

edit:// that msinfo doc is actually a notepad file...try it and you'l see

set font to terminal size 9
