divx dvd player problem

I got a phillips dvd player that reads divx , mepg 4, but some of ther movies i DL like the ASTEROiDS copy of wedding crashers TC and red eye -TC won't work. The copy of willy wonka and the chocolate factory worked great. I was just wondering if anyone knew why some of the ASTEROiDS copies wouldn't work. The faces and picture is scrambled or the picture rolls across the screen......ANY IDEAS???? They play 100% perfect on my PC. THANKS!

Download MPEG4 Modifier (v1.3.2 (Binary)) and load the files in one after the other that don't play properly; click the Video Info button for each and copy & paste the results for each.

Do the same with the file that does play properly.

Also what resolution is the Wedding Crashers TC and Red Eye TC?

I got that player ( dvp642?) its brilliant, however, it states

"Divx Compatible" and is NOT "Divx Certified" and it does not mention xvid compatibility anywhere (even though it does play some...) however, all that said, I upgraded the firmware which "apparently" made it 'divx certified' and increased xvid compatibility (from http://www.philips.com/index.htm)

i looking everywhere around the site but cannot find the link for the phillips DVP642/37...can anyone help me find it...thanks

Edit: the res is 640 X 352 for red eye. Which is the same as charile and the chocolate factory, and that is actually the only ASTEROiDS copy that has worked for me.
