help with avi2dvd

hi
when i try to use avi2dvd with 2 avi files (cd 1 cd 2)i get a problem
for some reason it only loads cd 1
i read a guide where it tells you how to open them at the same time below

http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/arc...dvd_avi2dvd.cfm

this is what it says.

First thing you need to do is click the Load avi/ogm/mkv button. However, if you have your movie on two or more files, you can open them all at the same time. Lets say your first half of a movie is your CD1 and your second half is your CD2. Name the first half 'video CD1.avi' and name the second half 'Video CD2.avi'. Now Avi2DVD will load in both halves. Don't worry, this also works for subtitles files. If you only have one file, then you don't need to rename, just load it in.

when i rename the 2 files it says something like this after i press add job (video cd1.avi.avi)
but it only finishes up converting cd1
i tryed renaming the files different ways (video cd1 videocd1 and still no luck
any help apriciated
thanks

Join files in Virtualdub ('append avi segment') and then encode as one file. VSO Divx to DVD is good.
