not the best vhs screener ive seen but not bad at all

nags is that there is a blurred out seriel at the top middle of the picture, but you hardly notice it.

Video: 8 - Very grainy especially on detailed scenes
Audio: 9 - Perfect for vhs but not up to dvd standards.

Yikes, no better than Maven's TS, and full frame to boot. Also includes a blurred portion smack dab in the top center of the frame.

Mediocre release at best, even for a VHS screener...

Decent copy, clearer and easier to see than the TS, but very grainy and blocky most of the time, and the 4:3 ratio dont help things.

Sound is good though.

They prob shouldnt of used mpeg as the Quant type, considering the length of this movie, the AR and the source, H.263, would of prob looked much better.

Why oh why dont these groups release the initial copy onto SVCD or CVD, there would be hardly any blockiness and then the xvid conversions would also be good quality, personally VCD is utter garbage and should of been dropped years ago, you can get some decent transferrs from VHS tape, just my thoughts, anyone else agree that vcd 1150 bit rate is shite!!!

This is better than the maven ts xvid, hence... it's the best rls out right now. It's much brighter and the sound is full and clear. It's pan & scan, but so what.... it's the best copy out now.

I am watching it on my 32" lcd monitor and I don't see much blockiness at all. Maybe viewing at full screen, you'd get that though.

As far as I can tell, the average from all of the proposed video scores so far,
is around the 6-7 out of 10 level.

This sounds exactly right for the grainy, pixelated picture that I have seen.

Why the official rating is still set at 8.5 is beyond me!
Hopefully this error will be addressed before these sloppy figures cause more people to waste time/bandwidth downloading sub-par efforts.

Fast forward to the end credits to see just how distorted everything is.

In her shoes had decent picture. Why release this??? To keep a good reputation you must refrain from associating your name with crap results. If you don't think the picture is better than at least a 7.2 is it really worth releasing?
