Nice to see Replica stripping extras in favor of untouched video again. I hope they get back to that.

Replica never stopped doing Untouched Video in favour of extras, they only kept extras when they had to re-encode anyway, i ended getting the DVD9 of most of the stuff they release, and everything they can do Untouched is left untouched.

Anyway onto this, looks very nice not amazing, a little grain here and there, but with the amount of HDTV stuff i get these days, i think my standards have shifted.

5.1 track is very nice though.

Movie was a dissapointment, your expecting something alot more, but its not really much more than a revenge film along the lines of Walking Tall.

I realize that, but if the video has to be reencoded anyways thats even more of a reason to strip the extras. The only time extras should be left in is if the video is untouched, and there's still a little room left over.

Possibly, but being that Replica have only been keeping the Director Commentary and Deleted Scenes usually, its not a massive amount, most of the time Deleted Scenes are 5-10mins, and ive saw them encoded at 2000k Bitrate.

Also a D/C will usually be a 192 AC3 track, no-one will be able to notice if the video bitrate is 192k/s less because of it, no matter how fussy you are, or how large the TV is, 192 in video terms is far too little for the eye to spot.

Im a believer that if it can go untouched then thats how it should be, and the only extras i watch anyway are making of Docu's, so the extras dont usually interest me, but i think people are exaggerating by thinking that 200mb is gonna make a noticable difference to the overall Video Quality.
