With so much American shit pouring onto British TV I kind of stopped taking notice of most of it. I then watched about 5 minutes of 'The Mentalist' on Channel 5, it looked pretty good so I grabbed the pilot and its good. Very good.

Imagine Cracker, put him through 5 years of weight watchers, give him a face lift, implant a set of Simon Cowel teeth and give him an Australian surfer dude haircut then replace his colleagues with Gooks and jews and the result is 'The Mentalist'.

I now have a cop show to add to my staple diet of Doctor House, Agent Bauer and Colonel Jonas Blane.

There are 17 episodes of goodness to catch up on.

I gave up watching this after about five show its not a bad so probably will give it another spin.
If your looking for a new shows check out kings. Its set in modern times in a country that appears to be American but has a ruling King. Its different enough to keep me interested so far.
