My brother is getting his website going again and id like to find out if he is getting the best deal out there.

he has decided on MD webhosting/home package, but hasnt handed over the cash.

He gets a max of 2.5g for $152 a year.


Is there a better deal out there?

i've yet to have any downtime, the speeds are fast and it has some noob help in setting things up if your new to PHP

I pay $7.77/month and get like 20GB space and 400GB bandwidth a month

My only advice is not to buy a web hosting package off ebay unless your site doesn't get much traffic at all. The prices seem great but their servers are really oversold.

If you live in the Western US. and have McleodUSA, Don't go with them, There webhosting service isn't even hosted with them, I forget who we used. It was pure crap.

and it was very expensive. I've been looking at Go Daddy also, for when I decide to make a website.
