aka parasiticgannon

28 weeks later

I've been to see a few movies this season already, Me and a friend went and saw this yesterday at the theatre.

So far we have seen

300
Spiderman 3
Hot fuzz
and now 28 weeks later

Hot fuzz was really funny.
Spiderman 3 was ok
300 was a major disapointment

28 weeks later was a shock.

28 days later I thought was Ok, Not a bad movie, but not that great.

I was on the edge of my seat through this whole fucking movie. Some might say that it's gory as hell, which is kind of is.

This movie fucking rocked.

The only problem my friend had is the camera work, He get's motion sick, and it bothered him with the fast motin camera work....Thanks Ridely Scott

This is a must fucking see. If for nothing else the Helicopter scene, that was nasty. but awesome.

Last film I saw at the cinema was 300. Awesome movie.

Will burn some of my newly found free time at the cinema over the coming week though, will begin with 28 weeks later tomorrow.

Yeah, I saw 28 Weeks Later last night and I would have to agree that it rocked as well. The original had a much smaller budget and you could tell that the movie was much smaller in scale. In this sequel we have a much larger movie with many more characters. I loved the story they decided to tell in this movie. A family coming together again after the Rage virus destroyed England. I'm not going to give anything way but once the movie starts, it keeps a great pace. My favorite scene involved a helicopter and a field of Rage infected people...it's awesome and that scene alone is worth seeing this film. I think the film was only about 1hr. 30mins. and the whole time, the movie never let up, it's great. See this movie.

Great stuff. Maybe even better than the first.

Minor gripe is that it didn't offer enough of a nod to the first movie. Would a Cillian Murphy cameo have been so hard to arrange? Even if it was in flashback format during the opening credits, would have liked that.

Apart from that, shit, loved it. Wasn't predictable in any way, flowed smoothly but at a fast pace. Tons of PROPER British gore instead of the fake Hollywood PG-13 bullshit.

Fuckin A, and the trailer for Die Hard 4.0 that was on before the movie has me salivating.

Edit: +++ Check out the new Wembley, the pitch looked like it was transplanted from Coventries stadium but I guess thats what would be the case in a post apocalyptic Britain. The stadium still looks feckin awesome though. My first visit will be soon, England Vs Brazil.
