Seriously though, it seems like an awful lot to spend on what is effectively going to be a very short-lived publicity stunt. They would probably have more success by putting a lottery ticket in the box which gives the punter a 1/100 chance of winning a Bravia.

I don't have any major issues with the PS3 itself... It's stupidly powerful (I firmly believe that in a couple of years, once programmers "get" it, it will have some ridiculously gorgeous games), its quite "neat" looking (in a George Foreman Grill kinda way). I'm just sick of the hype, lack of innovation, high price tag, formulaic games and basically Sony in general - they're arrogant and that annoys me.

Chances are I'll have one within the next couple of years, but if you gave me one right now I'd probably sell it rather than keep it.

At the end of the say there still a bunch of Sony geeks who queued up for ages for a shit console.

AS far as picture: The Bravia has a beautiful picture. A bit high priced for me though. Not really worth it.

Just from observation in the stores. As for actual quaility on the hardware, Don't really know.

But I have to say the Bravia 37" and the 42" have one of the best pictures I have ever seen.....Not sure which model exactly though.

As for the PS3, It's shit at this moment.

Interestingly neither come with a HDMI cable so when they got it home they'd be able to connect it to their nice spangly new tv with... composite cables!
