Fileserver component help

I want to build a file server (raid 5) but i know jack shit about pc components. I want to do this as cheap as possible, but I want it to be dependable and relevant for a while. I don't have a POS sitting around that I can use for parts. What kind of power supply do i need for this? 300W? If I get a POS motherboard / processer combo like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16813185094 am I asking for trouble? Or is this too good for what I need it for? I really just want this thing so I can stream to XBMC without having to go thru my PC, and protect my stuff from HD failures.
