To clarify THP = 3.7GB for the movie plus another 0.5GB of extras.
This is 4.3GB for the movie alone.
So this is worth comparing.

Watched a couple of scenes including a little action no obvious difference between the two. If you are happy with THP then enjoy the extras no obvious need to get this (yet).

V=9
A=9
M=?

This rating makes no sense to me. This is as good as THP (except no extras) which was worth more than 5 in my book.

Gives the THP audio a 9 but this a 5? This is not rating the quality of this release.

If they wanted to remove user prohibitions and layer break information they could have done this by PPF. Propering it for quality vs. extras is a little bit lame since the THP release has no big quality issues. Basically you could proper every second release for this "reason".

Also that the THP release still contains LB and P-UPs probably tells us that they didn't use the oldschool way to rebuild the main VTS but it doesn't tell us anything about what software or encoder they used. There are some DIY tools out there that allow CCE encodings but leave in LB info... It is very difficult to tell what ripping methods a group uses or what encoder they use. Of course you can analyse the video with a bitrate viewer and search for typical patterns of CCE (which also vary from version to version) or other encoders. Of course you can analyse the dvd structure to trace the methods of ripping. But in the end you can't tell it for sure... you gotta be happy with the quality or not. As for the THP-release, it is good enough for me.
