Hah! And two minutes after saying that you posted a comment about a DVD screener released by the same group!

BTW, is your judgement that it "looks good" based on the full release, the sample or the .JPGs?

Refreshing anyway to see someone suggest a group other than Centropy in the hope of a better quality release.

nice release. it's too bad most sites don't allow cams. this cam is higher quality then some groups "TS". i'd have taken this quality for star wars over those "TS"'s any day. thanks for not mislabelling

I haven't got the movie (So this is just hear-say on my part) but usually LD_VCD releases are CAMS - which means that there is no seperate audio feed (And hence, background noise from the audience). As I said, I don't know this for sure, but I would assume that you'll be looking at the same sort of quality as About A Boy - Ocassionally shakey picture, with some audience noise.

Anybody actually got the download yet can confirm this?

Paolo.

Good release

OK, here's my 2 pence on the subject.. Very good release, especially for a cam. There's very little audience noise, and the sound is not too hollow for a cam. Picture is a little blocky, unlike About A Boy, which is one of the best filmed cam's I've seen (apart from when someone decides to sit right in front of the camera )

So, on the whole, two thumbs up to UTi, keep on grabbing those British films. I'm looking forward to all your future work.

Paolo - there is no discernable audience noise on this movie.

Prince - About A Boy wasn't a bad release. The big groups don't seem to want to touch Brit films, so quit bitching. If you can do better that LD - post a release for us.

I get sick of reading people knocking cams, particularly those by LD.. The quality of his releases is generally very good considering the recording media and usually better than many ts or tc releases.

Thanks for clearing up the sound situation J_L_R .

I agree with mrfluffy - I thought the About a Boy quality was very good except for the shakey camera movement at the start of the film - it settles down after a few minutes though (after everyone has taken their seats ).

Nice thread guys - it makes a change from hearing people bitch about the quality of a release....well done to UTi and LD_VCD, sounds like yous have released a nice little movie here - Congrats.

Paolo.

Hi LD_VCD - good to see the Brit movies still coming! I haven't managed to grab it yet, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled!

Keep up the good work - it really is appreciated.

Paolo.

p.s. Any plans to release your next CAM in SVCD format . LOL!

p.p.s. That was a joke, in case my sarcasm didn't come across in the post!
