a friend of mine got a psp the other day and he wants to dump the games he already has to the psp without having the umd inserted. all the research i've done says he has to have special firmware to do so, but if i flash the thing, will it still play the original umd?

i've never really messed with psp, but he's a good guy and i really want to help him. any suggestions?
