Best video capture software?

Hi, I have a WinFast TV2000XP Expert video capture card. The software that comes with it is ok, but a bit basic and sometimes buggy.
I was wondering what the best software for use with a video capture card is. I'm looking for something that can capture it and encode it to XviD so that I don't have to re-encode my videos from wmv, mpeg or whatever format it may be.

Any suggestions on software would be great. Thanks.

i have always used adobe premier for my video needs... the cs3 ver has many a plugin you will find most helpful and you can save the video in any format you wish.

You might also want to try the btwincap driver, instead of the driver supplied by the manufacturer. It may give you more tweaking options.
