In an interview with Sci Fi Wire, 20th Century Fox Film Co-Chairman Tom Rothman says that a sequel to Alien vs. Predator is happening.

"We will do another one of those for sure. It was a big success," Rothman said. "In the new Alien vs. Predator they will finally actually really come to our world."

I'm still trying to figure out the "big success" thing he's talking about.. according to The-Numbers.com, the first film has barely broken even, including DVD sales and rentals. Hardly what I'd call a "big success".

AvP was such an enourmous let down They could've done so much with that story, yet they ripped the guts out of both franchises until neither worked. I'm sure the sequel will be completely fucking awful and still clean-up at the box office

It's going to be guckinf awful yet again. AVP was one of the worst films I've seen in a good long while. Paul W Anderson shouldn't be allowed near any movie.

This film is now due for release on the 12th of december 2007.

Its named aliens vs predator requiem.

I thought the first one was ok but it did'nt have nearly as much killing as i would have hoped for , a problem that seems to have been rectified for this one.

The trailer is rated r and rightly so i hav'nt seen this much gore in a trailer since that rambo one that was released .

This movie looks like it could kickass !

If enough things explode, enough people get slayed in increasingly bizarre ways, and there's enough SFX to keep the movie industry in New Zealand ticking over for a few months then I'm happy to put aside my notions as to what to constitutes a good movie and just marvel. Looks like I'm in for some marvelling, trailer looks awesome.

The trailer has to lie, they've forgotten how to make decent Alien and/or Predator movies... Because I expect this to dissapoint (I was let down by AvP, can you tell?) I'll assume that it'll be crap and who knows, they might suprise me.

I liked AvP. I'm not that big of a horror and thriller fan so i wasn't disapointed in the lack of tension and thrill;it had great action,yeah kinda like marvel.2nd 1 seems to recapture the old virtues?

If the trailer is anything to go by, its going to be VERY dark, with an awful amount of CGG, its going to give you headaches with all the blurred movement, and flashes, you arent going to see either the predator or alien in any great detail, and its just going to be a slash em up movie

There is SO much that could be done with this title, but the directors andproducers only do 'it their way' which is bloody awful, I cant see it getting any rave reviews, unless its from a die hard Alien fan

I dont think I'll go to see it at the cinema, even though, I do enjoy the Alien./Predator films

It would actually be good if they followed the dark horse books or even the paper backs, but thats NOT going to happen

My fav book ws Starship troopers, I was really looking forward to the film, what a sack of crap that was, bore no relationship to the book whatso ever, I didnt stay to watch it all

Just saw this movie...just about the gayest movie I have ever sat through. I'd avoid it, waste of fucking time and money. Fucking Pred-Alien was a sack of shit and even the inclusion of "gore" wasn't enough to make this a worth while flick.
