i signed up a good time back at Microsoft for emails of "Microsoft Download Notifications" or so it calls its self.
they are showing as the name says service pack 3.
just wondered if anyone had heard of this and wondered if it's something they are going to spring on everyone some day in the future.

know better than to install something just because it's there Service Pack 3

Yes, SP3 for XP is on its way. Beware all you who are non-legit, it will cripple your shit and make you have to find a working WGA patch again.


It will be deployed sometime around or shortly after Vista SP1 is rolled out (which will hit the MS update site for automatic updates within the month, and be available for full install DL this monday or tuesday.)


As for the tech side of the SP's they do quite a bit towards process streamlining and tuning up Vista and even some on XP.
