subtitles on films

could someone please help on how to put subs onto a film ive unpacked the subs but cant do it

I'm assuming the film is an XviD and I'm assuming you mean you just want them displayed rather than hardcoded. All you should need to do is put the subs file in the same directory as the film making sure the filenames are the same (not the extension) and play the film.

So, if you had "dmd-tallywhackers.avi".. you should be placing "dmd-tallywhackers.sub" in the same folder.
