Most ridiculous (yet awesome) car ever!

As some of you may remember, I posted a thread a while back about my antics in my dad's blown, methanol fueled slingshot dragster which was subsequently lost when the sports forum was deleted.

I'm not here to revisit that but I was at the drag strip 31st May - 1st June and spotted a race team that are quietly admired from afar due to their sheer fucking lunacy when it comes to their cars.

I'm referring to a team that, amongst producing many other cool cars, have actually put out a Fiat 126 with a 383ci (6.3 litre) Chevy engine that can do 0-138mph in 10.0 seconds up the 1/4 mile strip.

If you're unfamiliar with the classic Fiat 126 car, take a look at the attachment to realise how fucking bonkers they must be to attempt something like this (it's barely 3m long).

In fact, fuck it, I'm still going to mention my two attempts in a car that propelled me from 0-60mph in under a second and is capable of running (and has been proven to run) 0-185mph in approximately 8.5 seconds (only because it's not something you get to do every day and it's still worth sharing). I didn't get the full effect thanks to a blown oil gasket on the first run and hitting someone else's dumped oil on the second but fook was it fast.

That is all.... if you have any other mad cars to post, feel free to do so for us petrol heads.

ps. We didn't realise for the longest time that the fumes produced from my dad's methanol burning engine were actually tear gas. No wonder it burnt out fucking eyes and skin.

You get the glue sniffers, the aerosol sniffers, the shit sniffers and we're the petrol sniffers.

Ask any petrolhead who's been drag racing and they'll hopefully tell you that there is nothing better than getting a whiff of a Top Fuel car's fumes (which essentially runs on Nitromethane). Methanol burning cars are a close second though.

:EDIT: ... I'm also partial to Amyl Nitrate sniffing for non-gay reasons.

It's love baby!

That's insane but I'd love to see it run. Kind of reminds me of when Car Craft threw a Chevy small block 350 in a Fiero lol! Engine just fit and damn thing need wheelie bars with so much weight in the rear. Ran fast as hell but I don't remember the numbers.

I never saw the original thread, and you don't suck as much cock as 99% of the people who post here, so feel free to post crazy shit about you and your ridiculous car.

So... I've just got back from a car show in Faversham, Kent where my dad was given free tickets to attend to show off his car. My brother even got in on the act with his 1954 (I believe) Ford Popular with a 2.8 Litre V6 lump in it (I got to drive it around the field earlier - it's an awesome car but it's somewhat lacking in comfort as it takes about 10 minutes to warm up before you can drive it without stalling (due to lack of choke), it has a mass of wires inside with random unlabelled switches (inc. one for a windscreen wiper that is 2 inches long and barely touches the screen), no door handle so you have to pull a cable to open the door, the headlights are non-existent, the brakes don't really work and many other things but it's still a fucking riot to drive).

Saw some lovely cars including a metallic black hearse with flames up the side, an "immaculate" late 1960s Ford Mustang, a brand new Ford Mustang GT (Eleanor-style), several Ford Coupes (1930s - 1940s), a few Ford Pops, a couple of 1930s Chevy Pickups and many more that I can't remember. I hid my Ford Focus ST out of sight to avoid ridicule amongst the classics.

Bonus part out of the day was getting to sit in my dad's dragster again and getting to start it up. It may not sound like a big deal but lordy does it get the people flocking and the adrenaline flowing - especially when you blip the throttle. I say blip because that's all you can do before the roar of the engine literally blows the awning off the floor and causes anybody within 10 feet to leap back and hold their ears. I was in the driving seat with a gas mask and goggles on to protect myself from the fumes but didn't bother with any earplugs. I'm normally used to those kind of volumes but when I hit the accelerator twice in quick succession to give it a REAL burst, even I felt the ol' ear wax shake loose and shrank back in the seat (if you can call a bit of padding a seat - your bollocks are basically straddling the crankshaft... I dread to think what would happen if that exploded).

Anyways... here are a couple of pictures. One taken this evening of my dad's engine relatively close-up and another of my brother's car from a while back (still looks the same though).
