The Children of Huang Shi
Audio: 10
Video: 9 (some pixelation occasionally)
Movie: 10
The movie is in English though at various points, the main character, George Hogg, speaks Japanese and Cantonese. You can sort of dope out what he is saying by what happens subsequently but it is better to get the subtitles which are available at the usual subtitle sites. I use ConvertXtoDVD software and combined the two CD's to one DVD. With this software all you need do is rename the SRT (subtitle) files to exactly match the two CD titles, whatever you rename them to as in CD 1.AVI and CD 1.SRT for example and the software will correctly match them up. I rewatched the movie with the subtitles on and it enhanced the whole experience quite a bit. I whole heartedly recommend this movie particularly since it was based on the true story of how George Hogg saved fifty or sixty Chinese orphans. Some of the survivors (now old men) are interviewed at the end of this 2 and 1/2 hour movie and they speak tenderly about George. This is a great movie experience. Get it!
