My hub died around 7 am this morning after i got in from work and checked emails and i hit redtube it went dead

Spoke to indian broadband customer service for him to say it was dead and was a month out of warranty, what is it with things going dead just after the bloody warranty runs out

Lucky i still got a backup router away with little use, even if it is wired

Sorry to hear your hubby has died.

May his soul be brought to heaven by little angels with large wings made of the tears from unicorns.

That was a poor attempt at Humor, Nice try though.

I almost chuckled.

What kind of router did you have? I've had my fair share of routers. How in the hell do they break? As far as I'm aware there are no moving parts inside. I've had numerous problems with Dlink, Belkin, and Linksys.

I bought the nifty cool netgear with the blue light on top, and I actually like it. It slows down at times, but it easily recovers itself. if it doesn't all I gotta do is hit the button on back and it's fine. Mine is a Wireless G

If the router is OOW then presumably you're out of the fixed contract period... So change ISP to one that isn't shit AND get a free router \o/

On ThinkBroadband.com BeThere and O2 consistently get the highest ratings from users. Personally I'm with O2 and have NO issues with them at all, they're a damned fine ISP.

Virgin? Been there done that and escaped just before the caps kicked in. Great speed when I was a customer but it looks waaaaaaay too restrictive nowadays.

Yeah... The first time I used Usenet via Virgin I almost came - MAD SPEEDS. But all those speeds facilitate nowadays is reaching your cap quicker. Oh the irony... Being fucked by a Virgin

I like to move it move it

i'm stuck with Virgin at the moment....no BT line into the house, which would cost me the best part of £130 to get installed I believe, so i'll stay where i am for the time being.

I've found i'm leeching virtually fuck all at the moment, so until I get my Wii chipped I cant justify it, as I don't really notice the caps at the minute....although £25 for an 8mb connection is pretty bloody shocking when you look at adsl prices

BT Retail had a deal going where you could get a new line installed for just under £30 but it expired end of June. They might do another offer so it's worth keeping your eye on www.hotukdeals.com or whatever your favourite bargain site is.
