WTF? Opera use to be the best fucking browser on this god damned planet. What in the fuck happened? Did they fire there top programmers and hire Microsofts? For fucks sake Opera 9.5 is by far one of the worst version to have ever hit.

A lot of pages don't load properly, This only started when I updated to 9.5

the MIME settings fucking suck in it. Only certain settings seem to save.

I can't view this website properly with Opera 9.5

and you can't just uninstall the current version and install the previous version. You have to get rid of all traces of the most recent install which is bullshit.

I literally have to use the shitty firefox to view this site correctly. I'm not a happy camper with Opera right now.

This isn't a thread for all you bitches to come into and say Oh yeah Opera sucks, FF is better. This thread is for Info about Opera.

So with that being said, Has anyone else dealt with 9.5? What are you thoughts on it? Any problems? anything good to say about it?

Intresting to know. I'm running 9.2 and it works a charm. I was planning to flatten and rebuild my PC with a new motherboard, installing the latest version as I go, but I think I might just stick to the older version now.

Anything good in 9.5 at all?

Just downloaded it and I can't see any ad blocker? I'd like to know because as I said I used to really like Opera until FF with Ad block plus came out.

*edit* just right clicked and found an option called "block content" so I assume this is it. Hmmm must give it some of my time.

But I found a lot of Google results of people still using Proxomitron and Ad Muncher with Opera so the content blocking can't be that good?

Maybe I just don't follow what you mean by ad blocker.

Are you looking for something that will actually block in page adverts like flash, or just pop ups etc?

Opera has for years had an option to:

Allow pop-ups,
Block all,
Block all but requested,

Now and again a page will throw up an add and all I see is a tiny little message (like you would get from Outlook when you have a mail) specifing which page the pop-up has been blocked on. I click the floating bubble in the couple of seconds it's on screen and it opens up. My choice.

Also, I just update my host file from time to time just to cover off any obvious crappy spam URL's.

Short of that nothing gets through my Opera with no need for third party apps?

While using Opera 9.60 on Mac Os X I was having the same problems I was having with Opera 9.50 on Os X/WinXP

Certain pages won't load at all. I can go into the forum but I have to open a new tab to go into Gen discussion, or music, or any sub forum. Some pages don't load properly. So after testing out Opera 9.60 on Os X I decided to go back to 9.27 and it works perfect.

I guess Opera is taking a turn for the worse. This could be sad. I just wish other browswers had the functionality that Opera has, but none of them do unless I want to download plug-ins, but I don't.

So I guess I'm sticking with Opera 9.27 until Opera get's there shit straightened out.
