So I thourt I would give win 7 a try, latest build said to be close if not rc1 in all but name.
Installed a treat, no driver issues what so ever.

BUT

It finds and connects to my wifi but ie or firefox won't load any web sites (by name or direct ip)
My widgets that use the Internet won't work aswell.

I can ping google.com no problem from CMD
But from a browser.. Nothing.
Not even my routers ip will show me shit.
Ping the router sure, no problem there.

So fuck it

Is it showing up local only as it should be local and internet.
disconnect and reconnect connections.

Get proper driver for modem\router or try reverting factory settings.
Maybe worth a try mate.

Just put win 7 on my ancient pc and everything Firefox included works a treat.
can only suggest try re-install Firefox.
cushty me spell checker came back, for anyone who's wondering i has the worst arthritis, try typing with your left thumb and you'll get the idea.
