Call of Duty: World at War

I just got the PC version of the game, I'm playing the single player campaign mode, and so far it's pretty fun. I don't know if it will compare to Modern Warfare but it seems like it could be right up there with it.

It's taxing the fuck out of my system though, lol. I can play this game at full tilt but it slows way down when theirs a lot smoke, So to keep the frame rate up I just turned the res down and turned off a lot of the features and runs great. Still looks great when pumping out to the tv though.

I think it will be time for a new PC in Feb 2009 or so. I maxed this mobo out a long time ago.

Just a question, not meaning to flame or anything but, why do people game on PC's when they have to dumb down the games to get it to play well?

Play it on a 360 (or ps3, not trying to be a fanboy either) and you get all the HighDef goodness without worrying about killing your system...

Nearly finished it on PS3. Pretty good, and although those "banzaiiiiiiii" motherfuckers can get quite annoying, it's fun.

Not as good as Modern Warfare i'm afraid, but still worth the £27 i paid asda for it

Finished it on saturday...not really that much too it. You'll like the bonus after you finish it.
Online is excellent as the maps are bigger than COD4... not too fussed on the tanks though as they are veryyyy fuckin slow.
Top lvl is 65 this time to go to prestige, pretty easy to rank up, on lvl24 already after just over 2hrs of online time.

I don't care for FPS's, but for some reason i love this series. I can't stand FPS's on consoles. These game require a mouse & keyboard.

I was able to turn the res down a bit, and turn all the features on, So far this is the ONLY game I've had to do that, Dead Space, COD4 played at full tilt.

couldn't be arsed waiting for the credits myself, although knew from experience with COD4 any extra levels would show in level select (not had a go yet though!)

Just finished the game myself, It was decent. Not nearly as good as Modern Warfare.

I give this 2 1/2 out of 4 stars. Not bad but not nearly as good as I was hoping.

Is anyone intrested to play a VCD only Grind game, someone hosting a passworded game where you can complete challenges quickly?

I could host the match one day, maybe Fee-For All on Dome. Bit of team work to get everyone up on crappy things like Shotgun head shots etc...

Although I can't see why we couldnt run both. I would image there is a mix of Xbox and PC COD'ers?
