Car Stereo Advice

This one's for you Arthur, you dodgy bastard.

I bought my missus a 2001 Peugot 206 and we never received the code for the stereo. I've downloaded the various code generators but only seem to receive 0-9 codes whereas the only numbers on this particular stereo are 1-6.

It's a Pug 206 with a Blaupunkt 6-CD changer so if anybody could help in getting the four-digit pin, it'd be appreciated.

The serial number of the stereo is BP814618715534.

Please help... if I don't get to use a stereo in the car, I have to listen to the missus.

not quite sure what your saying,
but if its anything like the problem i had inputting a code in my ford, then perhaps i can help.

i only had numbers 1 - 6 (preset buttons) on my stereo,
but i was getting codes with digits 1 - 9 ???

turns out if the number was say... 8435

i had to press Preset button 1, 8 times to get a 8
Preset button 2, 4 times
Preset button 3, 3 times
Preset button 4, 5 times

then press AS or some other button to activate the stereo???

Yep... that's exactly what I meant and that makes sense so I'll give it a try when the missus comes back with the car.

That's also the same decoder I tried.

Yeah, it's a bit of a shitty stereo anyway and the manual clearly says that the four-digit code is only made up of numbers between 1 and 6 inclusive so the codes I'm getting out of the generators are outside of that range (and pressing 1 repeatedly simply puts in four 1s which has then locked the stereo so we need to leave the stereo on for an hour to reset).

Seeing as the Peugeot garage wants £30 (thieving bastards) to provide a code, I think I'll just upgrade it.

Thanks for the help all.

Thanks ntscuser, I'll give it a whirl and update this thread. I'd rather not have to fork out £100 or so for a new stereo seeing as I rarely drive it (it's absolutely horrible to drive compared to my car that I got rid of recently).
