Movie is a Sleeper

Seriously this movie is a huge sleeper, and must see...Saw preview and said Damn..Downloaded VCD..and said Damn again. Any movie with UMA Thurman. I'd see in a heartbeat.

Mike-420, go watch Not Another Teen Movies and American Pie 2.

This movie is completely fantastic. This is the kinda screener I'm really happy to get cause it ain't playing anywhere around here. It is the second great movies Richard Linklater have pull out in one single year in 2001. First, they were Waking Life (the best picture of 2001, nothing less) and then Tape witch share some similarities with another great movies from 2001, The Business of Strangers. I am really happy to see Richard Linklater back to work. He didn't direct anything since 1998 The Newton Boys. Previous to that he directed Before Sunrinse(my favorite romantic comedy) and the cult classic, Dazed and Confused.

The quality of the screener itself is really decent. Althought I'm gonna wait for the dvd-rip to archive cause it's a movie I'll want to watch again and again.

This movie is right there with memento for movies that make you think every second from start to finish. This was an amazing movie. The quality of the release was shit...terrible for having a screener. Why don't they just rls it in svcd? Couldn't we get much better quality from a smaller file?

theres no real point releasing a VHS screener in SVCD, it simply wouldn't improve things all that much.

As for the movie, awesome, and i thought it was a very good print myself, no probs with it, im not really sure what you didn't like about it. it cant be far off the original vhs it was taken from.

The quality is excellent, sound and video. I have not seen the film in a theater so I can't compare. If I had to guess, the method which the film is shot and the quality of this VCD release are near identical. Remember when Traffic was released many thought that it was thrashed but did'nt realize that was how they shot the film.

The only thing to bitch about would be the durration of time that the "PROPERTY OF..." BS during the film.

Oh....one last thing, this was a really good movie and well worth a look.
