Nice one! Surely you are in there mate?

Hull haven't won for fucking ages, but with Newcastle losing today a win will virtually keep them up. I can't see it though.

Good luck

I usually average out about £80/day over full PL weekends. I've had a better than usual weekend:

The funny one on there is RM v Barca, I figured it'd be tight and punted heavily on there being few goals...and I mean HEAVILY (there was near £600 in the account at the time and I'd punted most of it). Game finished 2-6, Barca ran riot, but by the skin of my teeth (and carrying a few skidmarks on my pants), trading back and forth (backing big, laying smaller) I managed to walk away only £3 down

Not really sure how this game will pan out. Villa haven't won in 12(?), but they look better than the team we trounced 5-0, that comeback against the bs was impressive...but they still failed to kill hoofers and hammers when they had them at their mercy. Hull are the same, haven't won in 5 or 6 and are clinging on to 17th only cos everyone below them is too shit to win as well.

In theory Villa should control the ball in the middle and rip through Hull multiple times, Carew for a couple and probably another couple from Milner/Young. But they rarely work out as they should. I'd go with Villa in a draw-no-bet, or back against Hull in the asian handicap.

Good luck with the Villa.

EDIT: have you got an acca on that lot jingo? Or perms? For how much? Acca pays 69/1...nice at a quid even, but £700 for £10 would be even better!

Its an accumulator. I won £110 on a five fold on Saturday just need Villa to win for this one to come through. £5 stake, £470 return if it comes good. I just stuck £20 on Hull to win or Draw as a back up, with them being big underdogs i'm guaranteed to at least double my stake now.

Can't lose no matter what the outcome but Villa to win will be the best possible result for me. Also stuck a quid on Villa to win 5-1, at 60-1 it seemed worth a quid.

I bet £10 a week on football, 2 accumulators, I've won on my smaller ones, about £90 - £100 returns for the last 3 weeks running, i'm gonna miss the extra income when the season ends lol

Same here

There's a few internationals into June, so not too bad. And it'll be October (probably) again before I bet big, I'm wary of backing too early into the season. Some of the top teams start slow, and there's always a Hull or two that upset the applecart at start the season, as if they're European hopefuls, only to slip away once Christmas comes. I rarely back those teams, but they have a habit of fucking over better teams that I do back (LFC 2-2 Hull, Arse 1-2 Hull, both cost me money ).

Fortunately though, although I stick largely to the PL (because I know it and the players inside out), what I do doesn't really require expert knowledge of any particular league. I play the markets more than back any particular team.

Big money next summer though. I keep close tabs on my P&L and each of the last 3 major tournaments have been pure gold for me. Euro 04 & 08 and WC 06 have given me a total combined profit of nearly £15k, £8k of that last summer. I shit you not. Have already told work that I need the time off next summer (assuming I haven't been made redundant by then )

Good move on laying it off on Hull. Worth looking at the likes of betfair, and rather than backing Hull just backing against Villa. It's exactly what I spend most matches doing, covering my liabilities and balancing my bets. Usually by the 60th min or so in games I have my bets balanced so that whoever wins/whatever the result I will pick up something. When my initial selection wins it's gutting, I've usually taken a potential £500 win down to a £60 win to back the other potential results...but there's a lot to be said for having no chance to lose!

You'll have to give me some tips when you get some good ones.

Had a tip the other day from some dude who bets big. He is friends with a betting syndicate in Malta and gets a few tips of obscure league games from around the world. The other day he gave me one, a team called Brommapojkarna to beat Djurgardens away in the Swedish Premier league. Lol, had never heard of em but at 3/1 it seemed worth a tenner. They won 2-0, £40 easily made. These guys bet hugely though and scour the global football markets for decent odds, researching the form of each team. 3/1, they are the kind of odds Newcastle had yesterday to beat Liverpool at Anfield but apparently the Swedish league always has games like this at inflated odds. These guys had studied Brommapojkarners form and also noticed that Djurgardens had the worst defensive record in the league, they do it all the time for leagues all round the world, from South America to Asia. I'm gonna take more notice of em in future. When I say some dude gave me the tip, I don't mean some betting forum on the internet, it was workmate who's brother is a full time gambler.

Iv had the "featured accum" on betfair the last few weeks and come up trumps !!!

Im about £500 up over the season !

I backed wolves (my team) to win the championship
I backed ebank-blake as top goalscorer

And i backed wolves/westbrom up n down !!

Unless your a total idiot its quite easy to make a nice few quid most weeks

I suggest we make and sticky a betting thread for next season to we can compare & discuss the betting !!

Yep well up for that.

I reckon its pretty easy to come up with an accumulator between 10 and 20/1 every week, the trick is not to get greedy or over confident on the amount of results, 5 - 7 games is ample, the greed part should always come down to the amount you stake, not 20 results.

I'm pretty good at lower league games since Leicester got relegated to League 1 lol. I've won more since I replaced Arsenal(I missed out on 2k early in the season coz of their shit form) and Tottenham with Bury, Rochdale, MK Dons and the like.

I also never EVER bet on Leicester, the few times i've tried i've lost. I stopped betting on them and they went on to win the league, its mutually beneficial that I don't bet on them any longer .

So yeah, sticky a football gambling thread, football gambling is way better than the gee gee's or Dogs. See how it goes and we could even open an online betting account, £10 each into a paypal account, transfer it into a betfair or william hill account, agree upon bets and see how much we can make, we split the winnings between the contributors. On second thoughts, probably best to keep our own individual accounts and just share tips now . Just a thought for further down the line.

I tend to back big on the "dead cert" games

i.e man utd vs bottom 3

I dont see it as betting, i see it more as letting the bookie hold ya cash for 90 mins

I havent been stung this season touch wood haha

Full time Aston Villa 1-0 Hull

Fuck yeah, had it on radio 5 live, they made me sweat. 3 Hull corners in a row in the 5th minute of injury time, Hulls keeper came up for the last couple and blazed it wide.

Noice!

I listen on 5Live as well (Managed to find a stream that was less than 15s behind, so had the pictures to back the words...and it was a lot, lot closer than 5Live made it sound!).

Another good night for me, green is (potential) profit, red is (potential) loss:

About £165 up. Out tomorrow, so won't be able to cash in on the Arse-Scum game

Yeah, a sticky would be good. I only bet occasionally, but would be grateful for any advice/tips.

I had the top four to win the last two weekends and won modest amounts. I've never used Betfair but Baha would I be right that you're making most of your winnings on the number of goals in a particular match?
