Re: Pilot dies mid-flight.

It's not exactly 'plane trouble' is it? If a Volvo driver croaks mid-drive it wouldn't be an issue with Volvos would it? No matter how healthy the individual there will always be that unpredictable embolism, seemingly random heart attack, or that oh-so-unlikely 1-in-a-million freak condition...that probability says will happen to 6,000 people just cos there's 6,000 million of us around.
And unlike, for example, a car/bus/coach there are 2 co-pilots on board these flights for exactly the reason that something may incapacitate the pilot. I use public transport every day, I see the slobs and neanderthals that drive buses, trains and tubes...and to be entirely honest I'd far rather take a plane (knowing the level of intelligence and safety checks that it takes to become a commercial pilot in comparison to those that steer London's public transport system every day!).
Now if this bloke had happened to be driving the 207 to Shepherd's Bush and had kicked the bucket going through Ealing Broadway and ploughed into the Waterglade Centre taking out the 100+ people on board and an additional 300+ in HMV...
