there releases are from the asian pdvds look at the sw ep2,austin powers goldmember u ever get there subs to work or did they cut them out i know the quality is mint but there still not the retail version let me guess there ZONE ALL not a zone 1 or zone 3

Yes, I did get the subs to work in Star Wars. As for Austin Powers 3 subtitles, those are not language subs. If you downloaded (or if you were even aware of) the divx subpack by DVL, you would know that the subs are infinifilm informative subtitles about the film and cast (again, NOT language subs). Since infinifilm was cut from the DVDR due to the limited capacity of DVDR's then how would you activate them properly? Anyways, silver companies download DVDR's and VCD's just like the rest of us do but the difference is that they mass produce them to sell. I mean it's simple, if those pdvd's were available to everyone before BooZerS released them then wouldn't you think other groups would be able to get them also or at least win a few races in releasing them? Out of the hundreds of pirates out there why is it that BooZerS gets to release them if they were publically available on PDVD? And DVDR rules state that releases MUST be region free, I bet if BooZerS decided to release them with region coding then it would be R1 (and them someone will have to release a region fix patch). Anyways, back to the main topic... Nice release, but I only got a 3-disc changer so someone pls release the DVDR

It is nuked pretty much scene wide, even though imo, it shouldnt be nuked.
I believe what all such websites do is reflect what the topsites are nuking or not nuking. I highly doubt that they make the decision to nuke it themselves.

OK can people stop talking bullshit about DVDrs and "buy the DVD" and having stupid arguments for one second and discuss the quality of this SVCD? Please, these forums are getting like a Yahoo chatroom or something.

As is described in the .nfo, some of the credits are cut. Anyone who actually gives a damn about the credits will no doubt be buying the DVD, so I'd say this release is to all intents and purposes 100% complete

The Audio and Video are what we've come to exprect from an SVCD DVD rip - Virtually perfect.

A slightly lower bitrate than usual has been used to accomodate the enourmous running time of the film, so you can see some slight blockyness in some fast moving scenes, and the backgrounds are not perfectly detailed, the colours are rich and vibrant, fast motion occurs with very little distortion and the CGI effects lose very little of their impact.

It says on Isonews it's out of sync, but I'm not sure I'd agree, it's *maybe* 1 or 2 frames out, certainly nothing you'd notice unless you're looking very closely indeed, and if I look closely on some of the official DVDs I own, they are synced in the same way.

Video - 9/10

The Audio is sublime, downsampled to 2 channel 224kbit as is customary for SVCD. Not surround, but as good as you can expect from SVCD without making it 10 discs. I heard no incorrect volume changes, cracks, pops or anything of that nature.

Audio - 10/10

The film is a modern masterpeice. Forget what you've read in the book (I know for some fans this is extremely difficult :P) and simply enjoy one of the best peices of cinema to be made in a very long time. As a fan of Tolkien for years I was apprehensive about the film adaptation but this blew away any expectations I had.
The extra scenes really fill out the story, which despite the 3hour+ running time of the Theatre release still somehow felt rushed. Most importantly you get to see the fellowship receiving their gifts from the elves, which changes the flow of the film quite a lot. It makes a bit more sense that they're kicking ass now when they were pretty weak before.

Film - 20/10

I'm going to want to watch this many times so I'm definitely going to be buying the DVD when it comes out, but until then I can enjoy this fine rip.

The Extended Edition DVD includes the following changes to the film.


1. More time with the Hobbits including a musical number. Extra scene further underscores the Hobbits sense of isolation and the growing realization that they can't ignore the outside world for much longer.
   
2. Frodo and Sam POV watching the elves going to the "Undying Land".
   
3. When the Hobbits are sleeping, Frodo is awakened by Aragorn's singing of an elvish tune that foreshadow's his relationship with Arwen.
   
4. More at Rivendell with Aragorn.
   
5. More on the departure of the Fellowship from Rivendel.
   
6. More in the Mines before the cave troll fight.
   
7. As the Fellowship leaves, Galadriel gives them each a personalized gift that will end up being critical to their future. Legolas gets a special bow, Sam gets some elvin rope that comes in handy when he faces a giant spider in The Two Towers, and a touching moment between Gimli and Galadriel.

I dont think any of you guys got this release the audio is encoded at 48000hz so you have to take a couple hours encoding it back to 44100 unless you like low slow and deep voices. overall a great release by VideoCD

My DVD player plays 48000hz svcd no problem, even if it didn't you can watch using TV-Out from a PC or even on a monitor (yuck)
