Hmmm.... looks good, but it's a terrible movie. I hope you didn't waste your money on it in the theatre like I did. However, I did enjoy the 'tv' scene at the end. The 'New Exorcist', my ass.

Conflicting views then some say this movie is brilliant others class it as bad as fear.com!

I considered Fear.com a comedy, it was that bad. The Ring is somewhere between Fear.com and Blair Witch.

yeah, i'm leeching this one at the moment

What's the deal with watermarks etc? The .nfo didnt say a word about that subject, which is against tdx2k2 rules if there's some watermarks (?)

I only archive movies with 5.1 sounds and without watermaks

i just finished watching this completely, it is a very scary movie - not too good, but frightening. could be better tho

the rip is cool (nice DD 5.1 !) - but it is strangely coloured, but i guess that is the movie (a little darkish greenish :P as you can also see in the sample jpg)

anyway, scr. messages (medium size.. seen worse, seen better ones) pop up every at about 5:00, 10:00 and then every ten minutes again.

but anyway, props to vite.. a really nice rip!

Sure the movie was frightening because of all the cheap scares (i.e. quick flashes/loud noises/shitlikethat), but the real scary stuff is in atmospheric horror, which this movie lacks.

DVDSCR, my precious...

I liked this movie. Naomi Watts is a pleasure to look at.

The encoding creates some unintended weird effects in some scenes... making walls appear to be breathing. Almost looks like 8-bit color at times.

That was the coolest part. I knew what was going to happen, but it's cool how they did it.

Yeah, that's the way it's supposed to look. If you've seen the trailer it's the same way. Sort of the way "The Matrix" was filmed.

See the original. It's much better. I still really enjoyed this remake. I find it funny that most of what I liked were the scenes that were in the original and most of what I didn't like were the scenes they invented for the new version. Ahh well, I still give it points for not completely selling out and making another hollywood piece of trash with some weird alien space battle at the end.

It's actually not filmed that way.

It has been graded afterwards digitally I suppose.

use ffdshow (latest non-alpha-build) for playing the video
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow

as for the ac3 decoder, use intervideo audio decoder that comes with nimo codec pack for instance
http://nimo.everwicked.com/ (down at the moment, use this mirror: http://www.geocities.com/nimocodec/ )

Other Xvids, just work fine! This is the first one that doesn't work!
Some friends of mine, downloaded it from an other source then i, and have the same problem with this movie!

I don't understand it anymore, maybe both files (2 cd) are corrupt, but i guess i should get another error message then i'm getting now!

Is there somethinh like Xvid Fix?? Just like Divx Fix?? Maybe that should help.

The settings of FFD Show are correct, i tried several different settings also. Do i need to change directshow somewhere to use ffdshow or something, i can't find a setting like that anywhere!!

Thanx in advance for you reaction!

GreetingS!!
