pjeer?

im curious to what the source is for this, as it was "shot" in 35mm and the only DVD available is FS.. and i dont see any indications that there will be a WS release at all...

possibility its just a letterbox cut of the normal dvd ?

The DVD-R I saw was anamorphic widescreen, as is the R2 DVD.

:: aha that'll be why then. amazon didn't contain any info about the R2 a/r. still, i have a feeling its just the FS cropped anyway... -pHo

There was a WS dvd screener which was sent to video stores which didn't have watermarks so that could be a possibility but I don't want to jump the gun on this one. It was a dual side dvd with another film on the opposite side, i'll try to remember what that movie was.

The FS version is definitely cropped based on the theatrical version, based on some discussions I found complaining about the FS-only DVD release. Based on that, I downloaded the FS SVCD, thinking that's the best we'd see. It's always cool to be proved wrong like this, but I'd hope it's the theatrical framing and not some bastardized cropped version of the FS.
