Hello..

I have a pioneer 717 and it's a really greate DVD player, but now it have given me some problem. I will simpely not run normal CD's or VCD's. The DVD playback is still working as good as allways but it's really irritating that it can't play CD's anymore...

I have opened the machine and it's a singellaser player... so the laser reads DVD but have problems detecting CD's

When a CD is inserted the player will try to scan it an then just go to standby or simpelly eject the disc.

Anyone who have had this problem and got it fixed, pleas reply to this thred

Have you tried cleaner the lens or tried a CD/DVD lens cleaner?
