Yes despite Noltes infamous Jailhouse Mug, I decided to review his latest film, called the Good Thief despite some Misgivings from the star.

In Neil Jordan's (The Crying Game) The Good Thief, Nolte plays a professional burglar named Bob who also happens to be a heroin addict.

Bob has had complete "gutter" romances, while living in Nice. He demands complete attention in everyone room that he is, his actions are soo stoic, its like watching another human being at work.

In a role similar to Nicholas Cages performance, in Leaving Las Vegas. Nolte puts in a similar performance and it almost works, but when he meets a Russian Prostitute named Anne, he snaps out of it by planning a major robbery of priceless paintings.

The Good Thief was remade from a 1955 French film called Bob Le Flambeur and while the film has interesting premise, it never amounts to a whole movie.

The Good Thief is rated 'R' for language, sexuality, and brief nudity.

The Good Theif is in limited release.

My rating: a 7.5 out of 10.
