Why hardly any IRC search links on the movie details page? There are many more good irc search engines that we can search. Mydownloader is the only one there and they are down far to often to be usable.

its not a main focus for our site. we're hear to provide news on whats out, not where to get it.

we dont necessarily "get on" with the owners of some of those other engines, so we dont link to em for that reason. i personally dont like the links at all, but hopefully it stops people asking here where to get movies, so i guess they serve a purpose.

Actually, the ones you have there probably shouldn't be there either.

There are enough vague references to the sites that are linked there (IRC and Usenet) in the rest of the forum that anyone with half a brain can use google to find them.

Might even be against the site rules to even have them there!!!

premeditation there g-spat, we tell them that much and they won't bother us anymore. So we do not get flooded by a number of people requesting.

cx, I agree completely about the less of that the better!!!

From what I've read on the forums though, there really are enough veiled hints about where to get things...

When it comes to legality, I would really prefer the site to err towards caution. I come here everday to read through the forums, I just usually don't have a whole lot to say on them!

From some of the comments of the mods here... it seems that too large a portion of the threads people start are exactly what the two links are trying to avoid. So in essense they really don't help anyways and might as well be removed.
