Supreme Movie Overlord

Talking Review: Cabin Fever (2003)

When I first saw the trailers for Cabin Fever, I first thought of another movie released earlier this summer called Wrong Turn, a particularly grissly horror movie, starring Eliza Dushuku, but sitting through a viewing of this movie, I was truly frightened.

Director Eli Roth helms this horror thriller movie, of course you are going to have a bunch of dumb kids, who go into the woods to have sex, and all the stuffs they do.

Cabin Fever features five friends who decide to vacation in a remote cabin deep in the woods. to enjoy their last days of freedom before going into the working world.

The Trouble Starts when a stranger covered in blood sores, crashes their party. Shots are fired, but the stranger flees back into the woods.

Soon after, one of the members contracts the flesh-eating virus, they all lock her in the storage, but when she dies, the rest go into a panic, as one by one, the virus picks them off.

At this point I literally wanted to throw up, cause I was infuriated by how the characters where getting picked off, but I really enjoy it.

Eli Roth does a great job with the special effects, I felt the movie was a lot like a cross between several movies, Deliverance, Evil Dead II, Wrong Turn, and the superior 28 Days Later. This movie definitely deserves a look see.

Cabin Fever is rated 'R' for language, violence, and nudity.

Cabin Fever opens on September 5,2003

My rating: an 8 out of 10.

Fuckin' A

hmmm....i did not want to see this movie at all when i first saw previews, but i heard nothing but good things about it. so i watched it and HATED it. The movie dragged on going nowhere. The end was rather cool...but the last scene made me realize even more so the movie was terrible

i enjoyed the movie, it put a new twist on the basic horror movie. i know once i watched it i thought twice about drinking anything. it shows what happens, how true friends will quickly turn, and when it comes our on dvd i'll probably pick it up. sidenote: wrong turn i was very disappointed in, it wasnt that scary, i mean come on, redneck hicks with machetes chasing you around with their inbred speech, so sad, but i did enjoy eliza's role, maybe that just because im a fan of hers.

Cabin Fever 7/10
Reasoning: basic teen flick lots of fucks and shits, drinking and drug refrence followed by the unexpected contraction of a disease which attacks each member until they're all dead. overall dark movie, some of the lines got redundant, no real shocks, good bit of blood.

OH MY FUCKING GOD

i just got back from seeing this movie and it was one of the first movies in a long fucking time to make me go... "WHAT THE FUCK?!" ok.. thats a few things mg forgot to mention... this movie is FUCKED up lemme give you a timeline without spoiling it..

1. Teens Get To Cabin
2. Teens Fuck
3. Teens Get Infected
4. Some Kid Runs After a Teen Saying "Pancakes!" and does some ninja shit

plus gore through out this movie like crazy.. 28 Days Later.. didnt bother me.. ALL the horror movies out latley (except Wrong Turn cuz i've yet to watch it) havent bothered me .. but this one was so sick with this flesh eating disease

Oh an the characters.. i found myself laughing through this whole fucking movie.. it was just hillarious, not that it was corny scary funny but it actually had comical value.. James Debello is great in this movie!

To my knowledge this movie was post-poned because of the SARS virus going around.. and lemme tell you, when people started to cough as i was exiting the theatre... it kinda had me worried...

anyway if your into sex, gore, and comedy.. check this one out

8.5/10

I wasn't to impressed with this movie. Good time waster, but it was nice seeing Shawn Hunter in a movie again.

7/10

Edit: The whole Night of the Living Dead ending with that blonde guy was way predictable.
