The dvd is not an HD DVD, it was created from an HD master, meaning the movie company or whoever created the disc first made a new master print with a huge resolution etc, and then the dvd was created off that, so you will have a really good looking dvd. to answer your question, yes you can play it even without an HD TV.

no K-fury, read the link...there is a COMPRESSED hi-definition version of the film on the 2nd disc of this release. You need Windows Media Player 9 to play its so I think you need to play it through a TV-out or a VGA output...this is Not a HD-DVD but it does have a hi-definition version of the disc on the DVD...

you cannot watch the hi-def version of the film on your normal DVD player...you must use your computer...

MOG (half-man/half-dog)

I wonder if this DVD works on a KISS 450/500 DVD player?

I fear change

Of course it dosn't if your talking about the hd video. That is windows media 9 format not divx so its impossible especially since it needs a 3ghz pc to run (it says that on the box)

Pretty cool and all but pretty much moot since you can play standard dvd on your computer too. With far less processor I may add. I have the earlier collectors edition dvd and I'm quite happy with that version. Very good test dvd for big screen tvs and digital 5.1 systems.
