the movie was utterly predictable and has been told a thousand times before. the movie was saved by very nice direction, and great performances by both patric and liotta.
a bit of work on the storyline and it would've been great, but only a 6.5 from me.
I thought this was a pretty good film noir / art film that tried to be daring and innovative but just fell due to the constraints of the plot (just another cop film in the end). Good direction and camera work makes it better than most, but stll not for everyone although the title alone will make sure DL by many. A fine release but no different than the DVD version released back in December as far as I can tell.
PS, is it me or is Jason Patric hittin the needle in real life, he always looks and plays strung out dudes?
