much like mister pHo i was very intrigued by this film.. but had read a barrage of horrible reviews.. finally i decided to form my own opinion.. and check it out.. what i found.. was a gem of a film
the story follows a group of teenagers in suburban california.. and their daily life..
the reason i like this film so much.. is because it shows lifes true ugly side.. its not a candy coated exploit. it strikes close to home coming from experience.. from similar teenage years on my own part.
the main focus on the film.. is the bad homelife these teenagers experience.. and the sexual deviance that it creates.. basicly saying.. that if people come from a fucked up homelife... theyre gonna lead a fucked up life of their own.. which is too true.
i think most people that didnt have a little house on the prairy upbringing.. can find something to relate to in this story.. and anyone that led a promiscuous sexual life in their teenage years(myself included) will also find interest in the movie.. for itll probably strike an honesty nerve..
as far as the visuals for the film.. its not that type of movie.. so theres no big special effects or anything.. BUT.. this is probably one of the most visually/verbaly graphic movies ive seen.. shy of a porno.. very very explicit language and acts of teenage sex..

IMHO Ken Park is a MUST WATCH if you love these larry clark/indy type films as much as i do..

my rating.. a solid 8/10
