problem with Sony DVP-NS705V/S

hi

i have a Sony DVP-NS705V/S dvd player, works fine with legal dvd's..
i burned a svcd movie on a cd with nero, and i put it in the dvd player..
but then the problem, i only see strange colours and blocks or something, with a strange peep sound.
it's the same as when i put the cd in my cd player at my computer, and when i start the .mpg on the cd in the map mpeg2.

here the specifications of my dvd player..
http://www.sony.nl/view.x?prod=3025...12636&loc=en_NL

anybody know whats wrong? is it my dvd player, are it the cd's?

If the SVCD reacts the same way when you try to play it in yoru comptuer, i am assuming it is either burnt wrong, or the mpeg is corrupt. Try burning at a slower speed and trying vcdeasy.

i tried it with other movies also, and i also tried to burn at a lower speed.
but other people say it's normal that when you burned a .cue file, that you cant play it on your computer in a cd-player, only if you have a dvd-player.
