Anybody familiar with DIVD format.

Is anybody familiar with a format known as DIVD. I have an old proscan dvd player that has divX and divd capabilities, for divx rentals through your phone line originally. But upon reading the manual it says "Compatible with DIVX and DIVD discs"

As far as music goes I have never been able to get burned discs to play, just store purchased music CD's will play on it. Any info or knowledge on the subject would be cool. thanX

I would guess divD was probably a variation of divX that never made it to market, maybe a pay per listen audio cd or something?
proscan supposedly made good quality stuff, but luckily the divx format didnt go over well with comsumers and it died.
Could likely have meant to say DVD instead of DIVD?
