you can convert svcd's to vcd's anyway numb nuts! then combine the files and put them on to 2 cds, that is for the dvd svcd rip that you are talking about, your just too lazy if your not going to reencode a hella good quality movie from tcf

You guys aren't even making sense with what you're sayin damn, just comment on how fuckin good the movie is or not. Lord Of the Rings looks absolutely OUTSTANDING - fuck everything else you hear. I burned this movie, played it on my dvd player and it blew everyone that saw it over my house away. The shit looks as good as a real dvd. I mean GO DL THIS SHIT NOW if you haven't done it already. I don's why I see ppl talking about they don't want to get a svcd and how a dvd version is what they are waiting for, then you got a guy that doesn't even know when it got released, then you got ppl that don't even know a svcd is. WOW these must be the ppl that have no clue about the scene, and no clue about anything. You rookies need to do sum more research or somethin cause you're embarassing yourselves. This is a great svcd and I mean GREAT. Don't judge pics, don't judge what somebody else said, you gotta get this, burn this, and play it on your dvd player and damn, your mouth will be open and that's the truth.

this release hits new levels of lameness. this is pathetic. anybody with a half of a brain has the ability to find www.vcdhelp.com and convert the SVCD themself. thats all this is is A RE-ENCODING OF THE SVCD!!!

in their annoying nfo the feebly claim that it was encoded from the same source as the SVCD but the disc count seems to be to high for some reason. could it be because all the did was run the SVCD through TMPGEnc? if this were encoded from the same source it would have been 3 CD's like the SVCD should have been.

in your nfo it says "We arent really a group that releases VCDs" well keep it that way.

The VCD was not at all pointless, it was converted quite well with minimal loss of quality, i saw both versions, they looked very similar.


The TCF version was dvd quality.
The WWV version is above VHS quality, and sound is perfect.
there is loss of quality, bcz the SVCD was 2100Bitrate, this one was 1500, if i remember correctly...

also, playing on your pc, holding 4CD is a real pain, gr8 work on the conversion.

who really cares, either way its not like wvf is violating any laws against tcf, they can do whatever they want, and if they get recognition for it then fine, they are a group, and the whole mixing water and vinager thingy from svcd to vcd, its not that bad of a change, i have 8 cds of it, one set in svcd, and one set in vcd, haven't tried the svcd out yet though...

When I got LOTR SVCD first thing I did was reencode it to VCD (my panasonic 5 disc wont read SVCD and I'm too lazy to get up and change cd's) and it still looks great...guess I shoulda called myself a release group and dropped it to distro and got my 15 mins of IRC fame....least i did combine mine and split them into 3 CDs (for anyone contempulating this..the [S]VCD combines seamlessly TCF did a great job all around on it...even the editing)
