Juding from the jpeg I've seen much better quality copies of these.Almost any comic book guy with have a copy of this, here's some funny facts about it besides the fact that it was never released.

* In an interview with filmmaker 'Kevin Smith' , Fantastic Four creator Stan Lee said that, unbeknown to the cast and crew, this movie was never intended to be released, and was made only because the studio who owned the rights to make a Fantastic Four movie would have lost the rights if they did not begin production by a certain date.

* Currently rivals the Star Wars Holiday Special, The (1978) (TV) as the most popular bootlegged film among comic and sci-fi fans. Interestingly, like the Star Wars special, it is also roundly despised by those very fans as well as it own creators.

* One of the reasons behind the making of the film on such short notice was that Chris Columbus was set to make a big budget version of the comic, but had to wait for the option to expire. The producers rushed this film into production knowing it would never get released, as the makers of the big budget version wouldn't want a cheaper version out there before them. The plan worked, and the film was bought for many times the cost of the option and production, just so that it would never see the light of day. As of 2004, no other Fantastic Four movie has yet gone into production (though it has been through many directors and writers since).

* The movie contains one of the all-time great "bad movie" moments. Mole Man's henchmen come to kidnap Alicia Masters. They sneak up behind her and do the standard "chloroform rag over the mouth" bit to render her unconscious. And we get the standard point-of-view shot from her, seeing the bottom half of the screen covered by the rag and then the rest of the image going from clear to fuzzy to black, as to show us what she is seeing as it happens. Pretty standard for numerous low-budget action movies. One problem though. The character of Alicia Masters is completely, totally, and in all ways, blind.

Baddest M'Fin Sith Baby

Smile

you are correct in alot of that, as I am a huge Star Wars Fan, and I still remember that Evil special release.

Now as for it being 2004 and no releases of Fanstic Four, is all and well, but a 2005 release date for a movie in pre-production is in place to my knowledge, and after lookin on imfb for some info on this, I found this

http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0120667/

Fantastic Four' Casting Coming Soon?

'Fantastic Four' Coming July 1st, 2005?

Jessica Simpson Turning Invisible?

Paul Walker as Human Torch?

Christina Milian to Turn Invisible in 'Four'?

Movie Poster 2005 Release of Fantastic Four

No Disrespect to ya GaryX, you were correct in sayin nuttin in 2004, but 2005 is a totally different story, it's in the werks, they are casting for the movie, and it has a tentive release date which is all cool with me, I would love to see what they do with this movie with the CGI, and Special Effects they have the Abilities to use today compared to when this werkprint was done!!!!

I'm sure we will all be impressed by what they do with it!!!!

Too Bad this movie is a DUPE of another release, and the werk print is not actually that bad!! Good Story line!!!

While I myself knew most of the stuff in my post it was in a much nicer format at imdb.com and I forgot to cite it so I take no credit for it other than than what I wrote at the top.I've heard of the "new" F4 movie for a while and never read anything much of it but thanks for the links. Also this isn't really a workprint, the movie was finished and I believe it was aired on TV several times but I could be wrong. The copy that's floating around is a pretty watchable copy and an official DVD for it would be just kinda weird...............
