Slightly higher clarity when compared to Chakra TC, can't wait to get this into my stand alone player and see if the audio actually comes out DTS!

The movie doesn't go all the way to the edges, there are thin black bars on each side, I guess these coulda/shoulda been cropped out. But the Chakra release was cropped on the left side, and they cut out some of the film (very small amount)

Thats right, I've not seen the film yet, but with this dvdr release, I'm bound to watch it someday!

from what my mom told me as she has seen the VideoCD release and this one , she says somethings were edited out of this version that were on the other, also the title is not in english

but as far as quality goes aside from all i stated

pretty damn nice copy

Great TC...
Cropped slightly on both the top and bottom, but not enough to ruin the picture. Sound is superb. With the exception of the occational split-second very thin white horizontal line across the middle of the picture, the picture is solid. The usual TC qualities exist, but nothing (again) which hinders the picture enough to want to shellout 20+ to see it with a friend. It compares very well with the Van Helsing TC release. Skin tones are slightly off, but this is a TC!

The Chakra and Replica TCs were taken from the same Russian source (at least I think it's Russian). But the sound is better on the this release since it is 5.1 sound, but unfortunately, it is not DTS

The black bars on the side keep the aspect ratio correct. But even if they disappeared, the heads would only be a smidge fatter.

But this is a good TC. IMO better than the TSs currently out there. Definitely watchable. Same as Helsing, good if you can't wait till the DVD-SCR or R1 DVD, and definitely better than the TSs out there. However I watched Garfield TS by VideoCD and I was IMPRESSED. They are sure evolving in the land of TS.

always avoided ts and tc down to the poor quality but have to say i've been well impressed with the overall quality of this one and the van helsing thats out, i'd give it 9/9/8
